The role of essential amino acids found in chia seeds in the body

Among the nutrient component found in the chia seeds is protein. Proteins are the basic component of countless body tissues. They are the main component in the muscle tissue which helps in the development of muscles, in the increase in strength of mostly used body parts and the improvement of performance expected from athletic people. Making sure that we have the correct amount of protein in our daily meals helps us maintain a healthy body because proteins are responsible for many bodily functions such as adequate replacement of lost blood in cases of surgeries, natural healing of wounds and scars, and the replacement of dead cells. Our bodies can only produce 12 of the amino acids known as non-essential amino acids. However, our bodies are not capable of producing essential amino acids from protein required for good health but cannot be synthesized by our bodies. These eight essential amino acids are valine, threonine, leucine, lysine, isoleucine, methionine, phenylalanine, and tryptophan. The only way we can achieve those elements is by acquiring them from other food sources. The best choice would be the chia seed, for they have all eight of the essential amino acids.

1.Isoleucine- has the ability to increase endurance; help heal and repair muscle tissues rapidly and discourage clotting at the site of injury.

2.Leucine- works with the amino acids isoleucine and valine to repair muscles, regulate blood sugar, and provide the body with energy.

3.Lysine- involved in the production of antibodies for a strong, healthy immune system; well known for its antiviral properties.

4.Methionine- helps the body eliminate fat. It contains sulfur, a substance that is required for the production of the body’s most abundant natural antioxidant, glutathione.

5.Phenylalanine- essential for the normal functioning of the central nervous system.

6.Threonine- promotes normal growth by helping to maintain the proper protein balance in the body. It also supports cardiovascular, liver, central nervous, and immune system function.

7.Valine- works with the other two amino acids, isoleucine and leucine, to promote normal growth, to repair tissues, to regulate blood sugar, and to provide the body with energy.

8.Tryptophan- well-known for its role in the production of nervous system messengers, especially those related to relaxation, restfulness, and sleep.
