Facial Liposuction is performed on the neck, jowls, and on your chin. This surgery is done by filling the fatty areas with fluid while sucking out all the fat at the same time. This procedure is preferred to remove fat off the facial area because there is minimal scarring after the surgery. This procedure is mainly done to get rid of a double chin, or baggy skin.

Age does not matter when considering this type of liposuction, but people with stretchier skin may see a better outcome. The recovery process is fairly short. People can expect to have swelling, bruising, and some discomfort. This usually goes away in about ten days. People may require a few stitches to patch up the cut made during surgery. Most people can go back to their normal lives in about a week. Most people feel the full benefits of getting this done in about three to six months after surgery.

There is a risk that your cheeks and chin will be numb for a while, but this usually goes away in a couple of weeks. If it does not however, you need to speak with your doctor. The skin under your chin could pucker as well. Lumps and extra scar tissue are also possible.

The cost for this surgery of course depends on the surgeon, and the place. The average cost for facial liposuction or chin liposuction is between $1,500 and $3,500.
