Some people have facial hair growth due to several reasons. Women who are in the menopause stage find unwanted hair growing on the neck, chin and upper lip etc. While some of them have thick hair growth genetically, some of them can also develop hair due to the consumption of certain medications like hormones etc. Whatever is the reason women look for various harmless hair removal products for their use. Given below are some commonly used products.
Tweezers: One of the most common products used to remove hair is the tweezers. It can be used to remove stray hairs. You have to use a good pair of tweezers to remove the hair properly. When you hold the tweezers both the ends should be tight and grab the hair properly. The hair has to be plucked out one by one. There might be a slight irritation which eases quickly too.
Shaving: Though many women prefer not to use razors on their face, some people use it because of dense hair growth. This cannot be removed by plucking etc. Shaving helps to remove the hair at the skin level which can grow back easily. So this method requires daily maintenance for getting a clean look.
Depilatories: They are available in the form of gels, creams and lotions. When used they melt the hair until some level below the skin and attack the protein present in the hair shaft. The product is first applied on the face and left for some time. Then it is wiped off to remove the hair also. Hair grows back slowly. Due to the presence of chemicals they can cause allergies in some people.
Wax: Though painful this is also one of the facial hair removal products which is very effective for removing the hair from the face. Warm wax is applied on the face and left to stiffen. The strip containing the wax is pulled off in the opposite direction of the hair growth to remove hair along with roots. The procedure may cause some redness or stinging. If the wax is too hot it can burn the skin as well.
