Herpes is not an unusual illness that affects the genital and/or oral regions in men. This is a kind of disease that is often sexually transmitted. However, according to the American Social Health Association, its condition could usually go unrecognized and undiagnosed. So what are the early signs of herpes in men ?
The signs that recognize one as being infected with Herpes are similar, if not the same, for men and women. The early signs of herpes in men and women are generalized body aches and pains that are usually focused on the legs, buttocks and the sexual organ area. There is also pain and pressure coming from the area in between the belly button and sexual organs. One may also observe an unusual discharge coming from the sexual organ, along with an itching or a kind of burning sensation. This itching or burning feeling may also be felt from the rectum. Pain is also felt during urination, and swollen glands could also be observed. Other early signs of herpes are fever and an upset stomach that many would commonly mistake as symptoms for flu. These sensations are early signs of Herpes that are also called prodrome signs or the warning signs of outbreak.
These early signs and symptoms do not usually start right after being infected. For those people who are infected with Herpes for the first time, these symptoms usually appear within 2 to 10 days and may last for about 2 to 3 weeks. After the early symptoms show up, though unrecognizable by many, it is only then that the next stage of symptoms follows.
These new symptoms of Herpes are an itching and burning feeling just before the blisters appear. Before the blisters, these sores develop in areas that indicate where the virus entered the body. These areas could be the mouth, anus, penis or vagina. Sores may also show up in the urinary passage of men or women. These sores are small red bumps that may eventually become blisters or remain as painful open sores. These open sores would just become crusted over a period of days and will simply heal without leaving any scars.
All these signs of Herpes should now be more recognizable and should be expected to last for around 2 to 4 weeks. However, Herpes testing should really be taken in order to know for sure if one has the illness.
